Trinity Oaks Christian Academy
RACE FOR EDUCATION

WHAT is Race for Education?

Race for Education is the only all school (student) fundraiser that TOCA puts on.  On Race day, the students and teachers participate in a “fun run” around an 1/8 mile course on our campus. We won’t ask your kids to go door to door selling chocolate, popcorn or wrapping paper.   The Race for Education is our way to raise money for educational resources for our teachers and classrooms.

WHERE is the Race for Education held?

The Race for Education is held right at Trinity Oaks in the field by the elementary wing.

WHEN is Race for Education?

The actual Race for Education is held the first Friday in May each year, but planning and preparing begins each year in February.

WHO participates in Race for Education?

All students at Trinity Oaks: Preschool through High School

HOW do you actually raise money for Race for Education?

The first step is for families to complete the “Race Packet” where you supply us with names and addresses of those friends, family members, neighbors, coaches, etc. that might be interested in sponsoring your child in the Race for Education. The remaining steps all take place at school.  Age appropriate writing lessons lead to sponsor letters being written by students and sent out along with an adorable photo card of your student(s).  Sponsors can then choose to support your child with a flat donation or “per lap donation”.

WHY is it important for my family to complete the “Race Packet” for Race for Education?

Last year, we raised over $46,000 during our Race for Education!  We also had 94% family participation which had a direct impact on the amount of money raised.

CAN I still donate to Race for Education?

Of course!  You can donate HERE.
